I'm a Mermaid Part 1

That's right, over the summer I've morphed into a Mermaid. I long for the beach- the vast blue ocean and the tingling sun-rays on my skin (I mean scales). I miss the peace and escaping from the "blah" of the world. As this summer draws to a close and Q and I begin classes again this week, I've posted pictures below of what I'll be dreamin' about till next year...
Visiting the horses on Ocrakoke Island. We took the ferry from the mainland to get there and just after we arrived it began to thunderstorm! We managed to find a scrumptious seafood restaurant (not my taste but whatev) and the boys (Q, Gummy, Matthew, Mark, and Christian) all chowed down...Peach and I were more dignified and ate salad and such ;)
After dinner the storm lifted and we drove around before getting in line to wait for the ferry. Below is a pic of the sun setting. The ferry wasn't coming for another 20 minutes so I turned the car off but kept the battery on so I could listen to music. After 20 minutes the ferry came and began loading the cars so I turned the car back on...but the engine didn't start. Oh my heck, yes, our car needed a jump and of course we were not prepared! Boo. Anyway, we missed the ferry and managed to get flicked off and yelled at while our car remained parked. Awesome. A nice patrolman lent us his jumper kit and off we went... an hour later. Lesson learned.

Below are our sweet babies who did really well with the beach trip and sleeping in their Pack-n-Plays. They were exhausted when we finally got home after the ferry ordeal and for the first night that week they didn't keep each other up...they dozed right off into sleep :)

The next day we were off to play at the beach. Lots more pics to come in Part 2 (the pics are on Q's phone and I have to transfer them to the computer) but below is a sneak peek: who wouldn't want to come back and see more of this stud-muffin.....and Q. Ha ha! Love you, babe!
