Our Little Helper

Peachy has been really watching us the past couple of months and tries to do what we do. While I stay at home with her alone during the day, she helps me clean the floor and counters with paper towels, helps put the wet clothes into the dryer, throws pieces of trash away (occasionally she's thrown some good stuff away, like cell phones and money... Yikes!), and even gives the debit card to the cashier and helps me sign my name when we go to the store.
But lately, she's taken great interest in what her daddy is up to. She helps him put his glasses on (after quickly swiping them off his face!), brings him his tie to wear for work, and finds and gives him the car keys. Quiriam always makes time to talk to her on the phone when he's away at work. She and I put the phone on speaker when he calls and she babbles away. Often, she'll bring the phone to me and say, "Da da!". When she finally hears his voice she just lights up.
Yesterday he had some time to change out the headlights on our car. Even though it was freezing outside, Peachy kept crying for him and banging on the front door so she could go outside too. So, I bundled her up in her coat and she ran straight out to him. She took some of his tools and tried to mimic what he was doing. So cute. Really. Quiriam scooped her up and showed her what was underneath the hood of the car. I had no idea she would be interested in doing that stuff. I don't think she really cared about what she did with her dad, but that she just did something with her dad. They had lots of fun together...until the freezing cold chased us all inside :)

This definitely sounds like you guys. Cleaning floors and working on cars. :) Allen wants you to tell Q that he definitely looks like an advertising director in that jacket. :) And ps-- Allen refuses to ever wear his rain jacket again. I don't know why we have it in our closet still, but we do...
